5th and 6th grade students are participating in band this year. To help them start off right, we have a special event on Tuesday, September 8th from 3:30 - 6:30. Ask your student for the GREEN handout they got today from their homeroom teacher.
Morton ISD has purchased several disinfecting foggers to add an additional measure in our facility cleaning process. Disinfectant fogging involves saturating an entire room with a microbial substance that can purify and remove pathogens from the air, as well as from surfaces within the room. Disinfectant fogging is highly effective at combating pathogens, particularly those that are airborne or carried in respiratory droplets, such as the flu virus or COVID-19. This is an additional protection in above our professional GermBlast applications.

Football stadium guidelines
Tomorrow morning there will be no car line drop off. All parents and students will enter through the double brown doors to the west/left of the main entrance. Mrs. Ingle will be there to greet you. Make sure you are free of COVID symptoms and must be wearing a mask.
High school and junior high students with the last name beginning with the letters A through L will attend school tomorrow, and students with last name M through Z will attend on Tuesday.
All schedules will be handed out when students get to school tomorrow. Dual credit courses begin Monday, August 24th. Be sure to login to your my SPC and into your blackboard and begin your classwork. We will see you tomorrow or Tuesday; get a good nights rest!
Elementary parents: tomorrow only students A-L will come & Tuesday will be only students M-Z. You are welcome to walk your child to class & take a photo their first day. Most teachers also have a presentation, so expect to stay 15 to 30 minutes. Must wear mask, no siblings please

Today’s scrimmage
Morton's varsity and Jr. Varsity will a scrimmage today @ Sands ISD @ 6:00. There will allow fans into the game, but seating will be limited. We did not get a number on how many fans will be allowed into the game. Part of the problem is that there will be four schools at Sands each with a Jr. Varsity and a Varsity team. There are many parents to this many students. Once the stadium has reached 50% capacity, fans will be turned away at the gate. They will go with first come first into the scrimmage.

With the first day of school quickly arriving,we would like to inform you that 7th and 8th grade students will need report to the gym for the first day. Additionally, students the the last name beginning A-L will report on Monday, and students with the last name begins with M-Z will report on Tuesday.. High school students will need to report to the high school. Thank you !
High school students if you are enrolled in a dual credit course, it would be great if you could come in on Thursday, August 20, which is tomorrow and check in with Mrs. McClendon. She will help you get logged into your blackboard and make sure you have everything is ready to go on Monday.
