Freshman CTE Camp toured SPC Lubbock Campus today. Chef Osuna and Chef Ramsy gave students insight into the culinary programs offered and showed the state of the art industrial kitchens. Students also toured the welding, construction, and automotive classes. The Overton Hotel and Conference Center hosted our camp by providing a real life catering opportunity. Students set up buffet and drink station for 20 people and then enjoyed the fruits of their labor.

Great day at CTE Freshman Camp!
Mrs. Ramos and Mrs. Diaz welcomed the group and provided a campus tour. CTSO (Career Technical Student Organization) Officers presented information about the organizations available at MHS and entertained the group with a code of conduct skit. We played teamwork games focused on using our resources to be successful. The day ended with a wonderful meal for the Dream Big Cafe!

Attention Freshman!
An exciting day is planned for Freshman CTE Camp- Rite of Passage Freshman Orientation!
We will begin at 9 am in the multipurpose room. Student organizations (FCCLA, FFA, HOSA) will present a skit and lead charadionary! There will be teamwork games and a catered meal!
Registration is set for Wednesday-Friday, Aug 4, 5 and 6 from 8am to 5pm at both Elementary and Secondary campuses. Doors will close promptly at 5pm.
Morton Freshman ended the day yesterday learning about horticulture and landscaping at Little Red Nursery. Students transplanted and potted their very own plant to take home!
CTE Freshmen had the opportunity to make dog toys for Haven Animal Shelter yesterday and decorate bags for Meals on Wheels at the Volunteer Center of Lubbock. They heard from several staff about the variety of careers available working with a nonprofit organization.
