The Morton Junior High Indians and Maidens Cross Country teams competed at the district Cross Country meet at Sundown ISD in Sundown, Texas on Monday, October 12th,  

The Indians came out to compete and earned themselves team medals finishing in 3rd place, as well as winning medals individually. Overall the Indians ran well, and their hard work this season has paid off.  

Micah Zapata - 8th Grade - 4th Place

Zephaniah Silvas - 7th Grade - 7th Place

Andres Bejarano - 8th Grade - 15th Place

Christian Enriquez - 8th Grade - 16th Place Deven Ponce - 7th Grade - 19th Place

Eric Rivas - 7th Grade - 21st Place

Matthew Rodriguez - 7th Grade - 24th Place

The Maidens finished 5th as a team overall. Although they did not get the results they wanted or win any medals individually, they are ready to work hard, come back, compete next year and place as a team and individually.
